Puzzle Perseverance

We started a 550 piece puzzle on Friday. We worked on the puzzle Friday, Monday, and Tuesday. Everyone in the class worked on it but by bit.

The Breakfast Club

We had an awesome morning! We went to the 4/5 grade concert. We came back to our room and played the grab bag game. And then we feasted on cinnamon rolls, fruit salad, and juice. What a great pajama day!

PAJAMA BREAKFAST PARTY
Monday morning is our class holiday breakfast party at 10am.  Listed below is the food assignment:
            Faherty:  16 cinnamon rolls
            Chandler:  fruit salad
            Miranda:  juice, cups, napkins, plate, forks (for 16)
Thank you for supplying the goodies for our party!

Students can wear their pajamas to school.  Please wear regular shoes/sneakers for the bus and recess.

We will do our grab bag at this party.  Each child will come home with a gift.  Monday night’s homework will be to write a thank you letter to the person whose gift they picked. 


SCHOOL SPIRIT DAY
Wednesday, December 23 is a school spirit day.  Students are encouraged to wear any fun & festive outfits they may have.  This can be Santa hats, antler headbands, etc.  We will be attending a school wide singalong Wednesday morning.

COOKIE EXCHANGE
Our cookie exchange will take place this Thursday afternoon at 2:30 in our classroom.  Each child should bring in 16 cookies (no nuts, please!) to be shared with classmates.  Parents are welcome to come and help assemble the cookie trays.

ACADEMIC UPDATE
*Writing Workshop:  We are finishing up our lab reports for “Writing Like a Scientist”.  We will spend some time this month working on some seasonal/holiday topics.
*Reading Workshop:  We continue to read non-fiction books and share the interesting facts we learned from reading.  We will also make time for some holiday reading too!
