Pie Party

We had a delicious afternoon. We read a funny book called "We Gather Together Now Get Lost". Then we enjoyed some apple and pumpkin pie with cider. We finished the party by watching a Charlie Brown Thanksgiving movie. It was great!

Happy Thanksgiving!

Native American Stick Game

We learned how to play a game invented by the Indians long ago. It uses symbols. We practiced using tally marks to keep score. Each child made a stick game to bring home to teach their families on Thanksgiving.

Pumpkin & Cranberry Tasting

We learned about how cranberries are grown. The area where they grow is called a BOG. Some families in Massachusetts have bogs. They sell their cranberries in the fall to make juice and other tasty things for all of us to enjoy.

Ox Ridge Homecoming

The Leadership League (aka Student Council) is having a spirit day next Wednesday, November 26th.  It is called Homecoming!

We encourage everyone to show the Homecoming spirit by wearing college, high school, or even Ox Ridge sweatshirts.

Go team!

Xtra Math

We checked out a cool, new computer site called Xtra Math.  This is a website that helps first graders with learning their math facts. Miss Dineen set up an account for everyone in the class.  It will be great to see how speedy we become with our math facts!

Writing Buddies

Our fourth grade buddy class came and helped us revise out How To stories. They helped us figure out how to add on to our story to make it better.
