Friday is a School Spirit day to celebrate Superbowl 50! Football shirts or any sports team gear is
welcome.

UPDATES
*Math Workshop: Miss Dennen, our student teacher, will be teaching Unit 5 which is on measurement.
*Writing Workshop: We will start a new unit called “How Tos”. This is a nonfiction unit in which we will
write descriptive directions. We will
focus on using words that show order (first, next, then, last, etc).
*Reading
Workshop: Our new unit is called “Be Your Own Teacher”. We will focus on decoding and comprehension
strategies.
DAY 100
Next
Monday, February 8th is Day 100!
The first graders can dress up as 100 year olds. We will march in a parade at 2:30. Parents are welcome to come and watch!
