Thank you to Mrs. Du for coming in to teach us about Chinese New Year. It was so fun. The year of the monkey is going to be great!

Day 100

We had a great time celebrating the 100th day of school!

Broncos Win!

Many first graders were happy to report a Broncos win!

New date!

The snow day on Friday has pushed back our 100th day to Tuesday. We plan on doing the parade at the same time (2:30) on Tuesday 2/9.

This Friday’s spirit day is called Cupid Colors.  Wear Valentine colors of pink, red, or purple…show your love!

VALENTINES CARDS

Valentine cards can be sent in any day this week.  We will decorate bags to use as “mailboxes” this week.

VALENTINTES DAY PARTY

We will be having a pizza party in our classroom for lunch on Friday.  We will not be going to the cafeteria.  If your child does not eat pizza, please send in a lunch for him/her.   Thank you to our party “sponsors”:

CARDS & TOYS

There have been some problems with baseball/football/Pokemon cards.  Please remind your child to keep any special cards and toys at home.  They are creating a distraction and becoming a source of conflict.

Darien Recycling Group

The DEG visited our class to teach us about "precycling". We learned about how making smart shopping decisions helps to make less garbage.
