Pattern Blocks

We have been using pattern blocks in math this week.  Check out our cool designs!

Winners!

Our class won the Fall for Math contest.  Each person in our class won a hardcover book called The Juggling Pup.

Election Day

Two representatives from our Buddy Class came to our classroom so that we could vote on the title of our school yearbook. 

The 3 choices were:

Hoootie's Nest

The Feather in the Nest

Yearly Hoots

Hootie's Nest won the most votes in our room. But we will have to wait until next week to find out which title won for the overall school vote. 

Making Books Sing

Two actresses came from NYC to our classroom today. They taught us to be empathetic towards others. 

Buddy Class Visit

Our 4th grade buddy class came today. Each 4th grader had a nonfiction research project to teach us about. We are looking forward to our next Buddy Day!

Game Day!

We had fun on our first game day of the year!

Mystery Reader

A Friendly Halloween witch stopped by our classroom to share some October stories. 

Problem Solving

We used orange and green cubes to represent peas and carrots.  This "real life" problem had more than 1 answer. 

Force of Motion

A scientist from High Tech High Touch came today to teach us about the "Force of Motion".
